ALIVE Education & Management Services is a practice promoting success in education and in the home for children and young adults. With locations in Beverly Hills and Woodland Hills, California, ALIVE offers individualized services with a multicultural approach that fosters individuality and productivity for its Los Angeles-area patients.

Board-certified behavior analyst Shannon Stanford, EdD, BCBA, is the founder and head of ALIVE. She and her team understand the importance of behavioral development and growth, which can help children and adolescents improve their quality of life and work toward personal, social, and academic success.

Dr. Stanford and her team use research-driven, results-based approaches in evaluating children and creating individualized plans for treatment. They provide home and school behavioral assessments and can make specialist referrals for kids who don’t yet have a diagnosis but may need one.

ALIVE Education Management & Services specializes in applied behavioral analysis (ABA) therapy coupled with other approaches for personal growth and development, like social-emotional therapy, family therapy, and educational services. Parent training is also available for individuals, couples, and groups to improve home life and create nurturing environments for growing children.

The team at ALIVE Education Management & Services frequently works with children who have anxiety, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, and conduct disorder. With help from their providers, parents, teachers, school administrators, and caregivers, these children and adolescents can flourish in their homes and communities.

ALIVE Education Management & Services also offers tele-mental and -behavioral health services as well as tele-education for clients outside of Los Angeles County.

How It Works
A Parent's Guide to ABA Therapy

1.Insurance Collection and Verification
You provide our team with complete insurance information, so we can coordinate with your insurer to confirm eligibility and benefits. We'll keep you updated at all times.
2-3 Days
2. Intake and Benefits Confirmation
We assess your child's needs to ensure your benefits cover all necessary care. We'll then match your family with a suitable BCBA and RBT.
15-20 Days
3.Initial Evaluation
After confirming benefits, we receive authorization and schedule an initial assessment, often called a functional behavioral assessment, with our lead BCBA. It usually takes 10-12 sessions hours with your child to complete the initial assessment.
7-8 Days

4. Personalized Plan of Care
Once we complete an initial assessment, our lead BCBA creates a personalized plan of care (sometimes called a behavior intervention plan) for your child. We then receive authorization from your insurer to work with your family.
5-6 Days
5.Ongoing Therapy Schedule
After receiving authorization from your insurer, we pair you with a top behavior therapist. We'll begin providing care to your child and your family through ongoing treatment sessions.
